The transition from a Soviet urban planning to an urbanization linked to the free market and the democratic push, has marked several points of development and also different problems in the capital of Ulaanbaatar. With the period of democracy, a further migration of people from the steppe and the countryside to the city opens up. The urban system of implementation is increasing but at the same time more and more people are settling in the city’s ger district, where there are currently no economic and social regulations.
